About The Position
This role is for an Office Operations Assistant at Ascension Medical Group, a primary care clinic in North Vernon, IN. The position is full-time, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The assistant will be responsible for various administrative and patient-facing tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Welcomed visitors, managed check-in/out workflows, and scheduled patient appointments to maintain an efficient clinic schedule.
- Verified and updated demographic records while processing medical release requests in strict compliance with privacy regulations.
- Secured necessary insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time to minimize coverage denials and delays.
- Processed and submitted daily clinical procedure charges while managing point-of-service co-payments.
- Balanced daily financial logs, processed credit transactions, and reconciled cash drawer deposits with high accuracy.
