About The Position
Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group is hiring an Office Operations Assistant for their Urgent Care department in Miramar Beach, FL. This PRN position involves greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, verifying demographic and insurance information, handling medical record requests, scheduling appointments, submitting daily charges, and collecting co-payments. The role also provides general administrative and clerical support.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Verify and input patient demographic data, and manage obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations and referrals.
- Efficiently handle medical record release requests and coordinate the scheduling and confirmation of patient appointments.
- Submit daily charges for procedures, and manage the collection of co-payments, including the daily reconciliation of reports and deposits.
- Provide flexible and reliable general administrative and clerical support to various functions within the assigned area.
