About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Office Manager & Workplace Team Lead to oversee the daily operations and events in our New York City office. a ~200-person office that serves as a cultural hub of our company. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines hands-on office management with strategic workplace programming, team leadership, events planning and execution and multi-budget oversight. You will be responsible for creating an exceptional, inclusive, and efficient work environment that reflects our values and supports our people.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing an office, workplace operations, or facilities—ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with 100+ employees.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality.
  • Proven experience managing multiple budgets (six-figure+), including vendor negotiations, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, complex logistics, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of office/facilities operations, including health & safety compliance, space planning, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency with office and productivity tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, project management platforms, ticketing systems).

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end operations of the NYC office, ensuring a seamless, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for approximately 200 employees and visitors.
  • Manage relationships with building management, landlords, and external vendors (cleaning, security, catering, maintenance, supplies) including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
  • Manage mail and package services, office supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and conference room logistics.
  • Organize and execute corporate events, offsites, team gatherings, and coordinate internal scheduling.
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure projects with the technology team, including AV systems, conference room setups, and workspace technology.
  • Oversee catering and the daily lunch delivery program (high priority).
  • Lead and develop a workplace team (including front desk/reception, office coordinators, and facilities staff), setting clear goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for all workplace functions, continuously improving service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all workplace-related inquiries and escalations across the office.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People/HR, IT, Finance, and executive leadership to align workplace strategy with business objectives.
  • Own and manage multiple budgets, including facilities operations, office supplies, food & beverage programs, events, and capital improvement projects.
  • Track budget vs. actuals on a monthly basis, making strategic trade-offs to stay within budget while maintaining high experience standards.
  • Prepare quarterly budget reports and forecasts for senior leadership, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without sacrificing quality.
  • Manage vendor procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective sourcing across all workplace services.
  • Design and execute a workplace experience strategy that reinforces company culture and strengthens employee connection, particularly given the office’s role as a cultural hub.
  • Plan and manage office events, including all-hands meetings, team celebrations, holiday gatherings, volunteer activities, and visiting-team programming.
  • Develop and manage food & beverage programs (catering, snacks, coffee) that meet diverse dietary needs and create moments of community.
  • Partner with People/HR on onboarding experiences, ensuring new hires feel welcomed from day one.
  • Champion wellness, sustainability, and DEI initiatives within the workplace environment.
