About The Position

Axion is seeking a part-time Office & Events Coordinator to manage their Williamsburg HQ and foster an engaging in-office culture. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the office space and owning an events calendar. The position is approximately 15-20 hours per week, with a requirement to be onsite at least 3 days a week. Flexibility is offered in structuring the hours. The ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude and be willing to contribute to a wide range of operational and culture-building activities.

Requirements

  • A "no task is too small" attitude; willingness to do what needs to be done.
  • An upbeat, friendly demeanor that sets a positive tone for the office.
  • Self-starter mentality, taking initiative without prompting.
  • 1+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, events, or hospitality.
  • Experience planning events, ranging from small happy hours to large company celebrations.
  • Comfort in managing vendors and adhering to a budget.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and conferencing tools like Zoom.
  • Ability to be onsite in Williamsburg at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the office stocked with snacks, beverages, and office supplies.
  • Strategize and implement methods for maintaining office organization, including sourcing storage solutions and closet organizers.
  • Track inventory of work accessories and stationery.
  • Coordinate building access for employees and act as the liaison with building management.
  • Ensure new hires have a prepared desk, greet visitors, and address in-office inquiries.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Fully manage the Axion events calendar.
  • Curate team-building activities to enhance in-office culture.
  • Organize quarterly happy hours and support individual teams in planning their own events.
  • Lead larger team celebrations and annual company-wide events, such as the holiday party and summer event.
