About The Position

We are seeking a self-motivated, positive, customer-focused, and quality conscious person to join our Human Resources (HR) team at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. In this role, you will be a key player in coordinating, organizing, and supporting career events, including virtual and hybrid locations. ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.

Requirements

High School diploma or higher
2+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Success in a collaborative environment, where various forms of communication and organizational skills were crucial to be effective
Demonstrated ability to work through/troubleshoot difficult problems, using proper steps to define and formulate ideas to reach a solution
Past experience successfully handling multiple projects
Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

Register, manage, assist, and participate in the delivery of in-person and virtual professional career events, conferences, symposiums, and other events, including packing and unpacking event kits
Register, manage, assist, and participate in the delivery of in-person and virtual college and university student career events, seminars, symposiums, and themed events, including packing and unpacking event kits
Maintain inventory and order event supplies, ensuring ARL is fiscally conscious; research, obtain quotes, purchase, and/or recommend materials, equipment, and giveaways following ARL and Penn State policies and guidelines
Act as point of contact, supporting updates and maintenance of ARL’s talent acquisition software, Yello
Assist the ARL Talent Acquisition team in other areas of the recruiting and hiring process
