About The Position

A Non-Merit vacancy for an Office Automation Analyst exists in the Department of Aging. Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan. This job announcement may close at any time with little or no notice. Requirements

  • Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate high school equivalency
  • Three years of computer system experience.
  • Ability to travel around Baltimore County
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite with the Senior Center application

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in managing computer applications is highly desired.
  • Experience with MySeniorCenter is an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge in providing computer system technical support, training, and guidance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides agency management and technical support to the Department of Aging Computer Operations Department.
  • Become a subject matter expert on MySeniorCenter software and become familiar with the operations of Senior Centers and Nutrition Sites.
  • Serve as a tier 1 technical support for the Department of Aging’s MySeniorCenter Software, requiring foundational knowledge of application troubleshooting and relevant certifications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues with staff, OIT, and vendors.
  • Communicate with vendors and the Office of Information Technology regarding bugs/issues, custom reports, and patches/updates.
  • Update and troubleshoot kiosk issues within senior centers.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with Nutrition Site Scanners.
  • Develop and conduct one-on-one and group training for staff for the MySeniorCenter Software.
  • Assist with Data transfer between the Department of Aging’s applications.
  • Generate custom and standard reports for staff, state, and county.
  • Represent the Computer Operations department at meetings.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date standard operations procedure documentation for the Department of Aging’s applications.
  • Responsible for resolving missing data within the Department of Aging’s applications utilizing reporting and outreach.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
