The position will be statewide.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 1 year job related experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Kentucky driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Installs, repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots electronic security systems and equipment, including access control systems (electronic locks, card readers, motion sensors, access control panels, power supplies, etc.), analog and digital CCTV camera systems and recording equipment, alarm systems, intercom systems, electronic door hardware, and other electronic locking devices.
  • Utilizes a variety of tools and testing equipment, including drills, grinders, hand tools, and electronic test sets.
  • Use computers and related software to program, configure, troubleshoot, and network security equipment and associated systems.
  • Performs bench repairs, testing, and troubleshooting of various electronic security equipment and components.
  • Attend required training to maintain and develop specialized knowledge and technical skills related to electronic security systems, equipment, software, and industry practices.
  • Maintains accurate technical records, documentation, and reports regarding equipment maintenance, repairs, testing, and system status.
  • Interprets and applies information contained in building blueprints, construction plans, wiring diagrams, electronic schematics, and related technical documentation.
  • May communicate with vendors and contractors and obtain quotes for parts, equipment, materials, and services as needed.
  • May provide technical guidance and training to other Security Technicians to support the development of skills related to equipment operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and software applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
