About The Position
The Facilities Division is hiring an Electrician Licensed position that performs electrical work of all types for a state agency, institution, or facility.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Master Electrician or as an Electrician by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
- Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials.
Responsibilities
- Installs, replaces, repairs fixtures, outlets, plugs, motors, switches, receptacles and electrical appliances.
- Assists in the installation of transformers and maintenance of primary and secondary circuits.
- Cuts, bends, threads, installs conduit and pulls wire through conduit for electrical circuits.
- Makes minor repairs to motors and assists in major repairs of generators and electrical equipment.
- Purchases electrical supplies and materials as needed with credit cards.
