About The Position

The Office of Global Engagement is seeking a student employee to serve as an Office Assistant for the Academic Year 26/27. This role involves greeting students, promoting events, assisting with information sessions, and advising students on study abroad options. The position is part of the Federal Work-Study program and offers a flexible schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Quinnipiac-related technologies (i.e. MyQ, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Canva
  • Prior participation in a Quinnipiac study abroad program

Responsibilities

  • Greet, welcome, and contact students with office hour appointments or walk-ins.
  • Promote Office of Global Engagement events through flyer creation and social media posting.
  • Assist office staff with information sessions, fairs, open houses, and other university events to promote global engagement.
  • Advise students on study abroad options, including navigating the study abroad portal and application process.
  • Undertake other study abroad-related projects as assigned.
