About The Position

The Joliet Treatment Center, Clinical Services is looking to hire an Office Assistant. This role involves preparing and keyboarding a variety of reports, documents, forms, letters, and memorandums. The position will also screen incoming transfers for Program Sentence Credits eligibility, log and monitor the routing of escape Risks, Reclassifications and Reclass/Transfers, maintain files and records, and assist in processing work release application packets. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and can multi-task. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of related office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 35 Words Per Minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and keyboards a variety of reports, documents, forms, and various other letters and memorandums for clinical services.
  • Screens incoming transfers for Program Sentence Credits (PSC) eligibility.
  • Logs and monitors routing of escape Risks, Reclassifications, Reclass/Transfers.
  • Maintains files and records for Casework Supervisor and Clinical Services Supervisor and assists in maintaining Clinical Services filing of individual in custody records and correspondence.
  • Assists in processing work release application packets submitted by the Correctional Counselors to assist individual in custody transfers.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties listed above.
