The Center for Campus Community and Connection (CCCC) office assistant, student employee is responsible for providing routine customer service and performing clerical and administrative duties for the CCCC. This role supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence. The employee will model, support, and hold others accountable to the University’s values. This position involves writing, editing, formatting, and proofreading documents, performing data aggregation, and responding to the needs of students, colleagues, and community members in a timely and courteous manner. Responsibilities include answering the phone, responding to email, forwarding messages, confirming appointments, and maintaining appropriate office supply inventory. The role also involves compiling and organizing information into relevant reports, maintaining filing systems, and utilizing basic word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills daily. Additionally, the office assistant will maintain the cleanliness and organization of desk and main space areas, collect, organize, and compose correspondence for department staff, and interpret the needs of students and visitors, making appropriate referrals for service. Assistance with planning and set-up/tear down of CCCC events, as well as creating and posting event flyers and other department communications, are also key functions. This job may require other duties as assigned.
