About The Position

The Office Assistant in the Student Accessibility Office will assist in providing support and services for the office. Support will include answering the phone, taking messages, responding to emails, and providing general guidance to students, faculty, and staff. Requirements

  • Current Washburn student
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge and skills to effectively interact with all individuals
  • Experience with MS Office products (including but not limited to Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and TEAMS)

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given for psychology, social work, human services, education, and business.
  • Prior office/front desk experience
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct students, faculty, and other guests entering the department
  • Coordinate scheduling meetings with student(s) and staff
  • Responding to emails and phone calls to direct students, faculty and staff
  • Document interactions with student(s) in disability management software
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Collaborate with Graduate Assistant to create/promote social media content
