About The Position

The Community Corrections Division is seeking to fill a full-time, permanent Office Assistant 3 (OA3) position within the Walla Walla Field Office. This role provides routine and advanced clerical support, including file management, to the Community Corrections Supervisor and Officers. The position operates under general supervision and requires a commitment to public service and an equitable, inclusive culture. The work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Six months of clerical experience that includes basic knowledge of Microsoft programs to include Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must possess and maintain an unrestricted driver's license valid in the state of Washington.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Must respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.
  • Ability to navigate internal databases and a variety of computer platforms/applications.
  • Ability to proofread written material and identify and correct errors, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to staff, supervised individuals, stakeholders, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Office Assistant services to Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS) and Community Corrections Officers (CCOs) for the Walla Walla Field Office for the purpose of assisting staff with paperwork, reports, schedules, and other day-to-day clerical work.
  • Greet and assist the public, visitors, and clients and refer to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system.
  • Database entry and retrieval from various systems, such as OMNI (Offender Management Network Information) and OnBase.
  • Manage and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Process incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, scheduling, purchasing supplies, and managing building issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
