About The Position

In these roles, you’ll play a key part in supporting our Facilities team while serving as a welcoming presence for visitors conducting business at our new 1501 Market Street building. The Career Service position will primarily be supporting our Maintenance and Operations, Construction Division, and Fiscal teams with administrative support duties. The Limited Duration position will provide essential departmental support and create a welcoming environment at our building’s front desk. Your work will create a warm, professional environment for the public and County employees alike. We have a collaborative culture that is inclusive at all levels. Throughout the onboarding process, you will meet with the supervisors, teams, and the administrative team regularly to discuss expectations, set goals, identify priorities, and gain familiarity with current policies, procedures, and strategic measures. Requirements

  • One year of general clerical work experience.
  • Ability to successfully complete Pierce
  • Some positions may require possession of, or the ability to obtain a valid Driver's License when travel is required.
  • As a condition of employment, the applicant will need to authorize and complete a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Hybrid may be available for the Career Service position for 1 day a week following a successful probationary period.
  • The Limited Duration position will be on-site full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of routine material and correspondence from written material and recording; proofread and ensure correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and capitalization on department correspondence.
  • Organize, maintain, and retrieve information and documents from files and records.
  • Process requisitions, vouchers and invoices; validate payments and place orders for department.
  • Perform timekeeping functions for work unit or department; complete time records; compute time; maintain leave status records and monitor leave balances.
  • Perform receptionist and general office duties; respond to routine inquiries by telephone or person-to-person; fulfill requests for publications or office supplies.
