About The Position

Prevail Academy, located in Mt. Clemens, MI, is seeking an Office Administrator to join their team. This role involves maintaining the school's bookkeeping and accounting processes, managing receptionist duties to support visitors, parents, and students, and ensuring security procedures are followed. The Office Administrator will also handle correspondence, prepare reports for the school principal, and manage the calendar and appointments for school leadership. Prevail Academy, opened in 2004, serves students in grades K-8 and emphasizes connecting passion with purpose.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and/or 2-4 years’ experience in an office or school-related administrative position.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update bookkeeping at the school and oversee the accounting process.
  • Maintain receptionist responsibilities and support an office environment that is supportive to visitors, parents, and students.
  • Ensure that security procedures are strictly followed by overseeing the visitor management system.
  • Complete correspondence, memoranda, and reports for the school principal, as well as maintain the calendar and appointments for school leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
