Offboarding Supervisor (Volunteer/Remote)
About The Position
This is an unpaid volunteer position for individuals seeking a flexible hours engagement role to gain valuable work experience while helping to further the mission of ARO in assisting victims of abuse. The role offers the flexibility of working in a virtual environment and interacting with others worldwide who share a passion for making a difference. It also provides opportunities for skill development, departmental cross-training, leadership roles, mentoring, and excelling within a chosen vocation. ARO is currently only hiring female identifying volunteers due to a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) policy, with plans to expand opportunities in the future. Volunteers are expected to actively engage with the organization's social media platforms to spread awareness.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR policies, technology, and technical roles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to volunteer 12-15+ hours per week for a minimum of 12 months
- Must be U.S.-based and available during EST business hours
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Offboarding Manager and oversees a team of Offboarding Coordinators
- Develops and implements strategies to improve and streamline the offboarding process
- Ensures timely offboarding, tracks pending cases, and communicates with department managers regarding unresponsive team members
- Oversees daily department workflow, supports critical needs, and coordinates national-level initiatives
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Performs other related duties as assigned
