About The Position

Primient is seeking an Off-Shift Instrument / Electrician for their Dayton, OH facility. This foundational manufacturing role offers potential for a fulfilling, well-compensated career with a starting wage of $35.52/hr, advancing to $38.14/hr through a pay-for-skill system, plus an $0.85 shift differential. The position involves the safe operation, electrical maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems that produce high-quality ingredients and solutions for the food, beverage, and other industries. The role utilizes technology to transform raw materials into distinctive ingredients that add taste, texture, nutrition, and functionality to products used or consumed globally.

  • Works under close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, maintain, install, repair, calibrate, test, assemble, and inspect electrical installations, including pneumatic, electronic, regulating, and/or indicating instruments, equipment, and transmission and distribution systems.
  • Work with electrical construction materials, equipment components, and devices such as conductors, grounding systems, conduit systems, lighting, control devices, circuit breakers, switch gear, switches, motors, generators, transformers, and timing devices.
  • Work with materials necessary to install electrical power distribution and control systems.
  • Work with instrument construction materials such as wire, pneumatic, electronic, and hydraulic components and metal, plastic, and glass materials used in connection with instrument work.
  • Install tubing in conjunction with instrument work.
  • Use hand and power tools common to electrical and instrumentation work, such as electric drills, soldering and brazing equipment, a drill press, threading equipment, power saws, and bending equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspection on alarms, alarm panels, electrical interlocks, and other electrical safety devices.
  • Work from drawings, repair, and operating instruction manuals, and written and oral instructions.
  • Follow prescribed procedures for checking and testing electrical and instrument loops before production release.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and orderly.
  • Work with and assist other skilled tradesmen.
  • Assist PCS engineer in maintaining electrical schematics, loop diagrams, calibration records, and other instrumentation and electrical documentation.
