The Off-Campus Life Graduate Assistant- Neighborhood Liaison is a partnership between Colorado State University Off-Campus Life and the City of Fort Collins. The position builds positive relationships between students, residents, and community partners through community engagement, conflict resolution, program management, and education. The role supports neighborhood quality of life, strengthens town-gown relations, and provides professional experience in leadership, strategic communication, partnership development, and public administration. Reporting to CSU Off-Campus Live (OCL) at Colorado State University and liaisoning with multiple City of Fort Collins departments, the OCL GA- NL is uniquely positioned to identify opportunities for good neighboring and improved communication. Key programs/services the OCL GA- NL oversees include- The Party Registration Program, City ordinance education to CSU students primarily through "Life in Fort Collins" seminars and presentations, Representing select programs at Fall and Spring City of Fort Collins' police shift briefings, Handling individual neighbor-to-neighbor conflicts that involve CSU student(s) and involving the appropriate CSU and City staff as needed. This position also helps maintain relationships with a variety of partners (with support from OCL FTE) such as The Student Resolution Center (SRC) Colorado State university Police Department Fort Collins Police Services Housing and Community Vitality Code Compliance Student Legal Services Parking Services, and other campus and community partners This role might provide supplemental support for other Off-Campus Life tasks/services/programs as needed, such as housing fairs, and material reviews.
