About The Position

The Ocean Course Cottage Attendant cleans The Ocean Course Clubhouse and prepares The Ocean Course Cottages for guest arrivals and departures. The role includes inspecting cottages, placing personalized amenities and pre-ordered items, providing concierge services, delivering meals, and responding to guest requests. The attendant also maintains housekeeping supplies and linen storage, keeps clubhouse public spaces clean and stocked, and documents maintenance needs. Strong attention to detail, guest focus, communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are important. The position requires working on site and using the employee’s own vehicle. The stated pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Computer fluency, including the ability to send emails and learn relevant computer systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; use of the employee’s own vehicle is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry items across short to medium distances.
• Ability to stand for the entirety of a shift while reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Ability to follow directions and perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to set up and organize work areas with designated equipment.
• Ability to interact articulately and personably with high-end clientele.
• Must work on site due to the daily needs of the job.

Responsibilities

• Clean cottages, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and performing deep cleaning as needed.
• Prepare cottages for guest arrivals and departures, including inspecting rooms and placing personalized amenities.
• Change and replenish bed linens, towels, and guest amenities as needed.
• Ensure pre-ordered food, beverages, and other items are stocked in cottages before guests arrive.
• Deliver breakfast and, at times, other meals to cottages.
• Take ownership of guest requests and ensure they are completed; communicate with guests and internal departments by email.
• Maintain and transport the housekeeping supply cart and keep cottage linen storage stocked.
• Replenish cottage cutlery and kitchen equipment and inventory cottage supplies.
• Clean clubhouse public spaces, including restrooms, locker rooms, the lobby, and function spaces.
• Maintain and refresh restroom supplies continuously and clean common areas efficiently.
• Keep storage areas clean and well maintained, including cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Document maintenance requests for the cottages and clubhouse daily, and report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Send emails and learn computer systems for food and beverage, front desk, and golf tee times; prepare shift reports.
• Remain courteous and helpful to guests and coworkers and perform other duties as assigned.
