About The Position
The Housekeeping Attendant at Condado Ocean Club provides authentic hospitality service by welcoming guests, anticipating and addressing their needs, and maintaining guest rooms and housekeeping equipment. The role includes following established room-entry, cleaning, safety, security, and quality standards; keeping informed about hotel operations and events; and working positively with colleagues to support shared goals. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Hospitality-oriented.
- Able to bend, squat, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
- Able and willing to perform basic cleaning duties.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication skills in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
- Clean and organize guest rooms according to standards using the correct chemicals.
- Participate in daily staff meetings and pick up room reports and keys for assigned areas.
- Follow all protocols for entering a room.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment used.
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
- Follow room-service steps, including setting up amenities and related tasks.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Stay informed about daily hotel operations, event sheets, bulletin boards, changes, procedures, and events.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, keep proprietary information confidential, and protect company assets.
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the Director of Housekeeping.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
