About The Position

Powerback is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in an in-facility setting. The role implements occupational therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. The assistant works with patients as individuals, adapts to their needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when needed to support patient care. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA and ACOTE standards.
• Obtain initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow developed recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments.
• Help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
• Ensure patients and their families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
