About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join an in-house team of professionals. The OTA provides person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve independence and quality of life. The role provides skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and in accordance with physician orders and established plans of care. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience.
• Experience with the Net Health Electronic Documentation System.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and promptly in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
