About The Position
PAM Health is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) for its new Aiken rehabilitation hospital. The hospital is planned to open in the fall. PAM Health provides care for chronically and critically ill patients who need extended hospital care, and the role will serve a diverse patient population. Candidates should have prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learning. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements individual treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health system. The assistant must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities and may perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
