About The Position

Flagstar Rehab is seeking Occupational Therapists to work in skilled nursing facilities. Therapists can choose assignments that fit their schedules and select how they earn, with support available for setting up a corporation for those who prefer independent work. Daily updates and clear communication about facility needs help therapists understand available assignments, and remote onboarding supports the transition into new roles. The role helps address gaps in geriatric care while providing therapy to patients in skilled nursing facilities.

The Occupational Therapist conducts efficient evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans for COTAs to follow under the therapist’s supervision, provides therapy to individuals with a range of debilitating diagnoses, and monitors and documents patient progress using EMR software. Assignments are available in Lafayette Township, New Jersey.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey occupational therapy license and registration.
• Valid BLS certification.
• EMR competence.
• Meets all state and federal requirements for employment in a U.S. nursing facility.
• Malpractice/liability insurance, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct efficient patient evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment plans for COTAs to follow under the Occupational Therapist’s supervision.
• Provide therapy services in a skilled nursing facility setting for patients with conditions including TBI, CVA/stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnoses.
• Monitor and document patient progress using EMR software.
