About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist for an independent living community in Pittsford, New York. Therapy is provided Monday through Friday, with no evenings or weekends. The role involves assessing clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; creating individualized treatment plans; educating clients and families about daily activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications; maintaining accurate clinical documentation; and advocating for clients’ needs and access to resources. The position pays $48–$50 per hour.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities through observation and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
