About The Position
Powerback is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in an in-facility setting. The Occupational Therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The role involves adapting care to individual needs, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and educating patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab. The posting advertises a $10,000 retention bonus and an hourly salary range of $43.00 to $53.00.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs.
- Develop recovery plans.
- Deliver occupational therapy to support recovery.
- Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
- Adapt care to patient needs and work across varied settings.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients obtain needed care.
- Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
