About The Position

Pivot Rehabilitation is a therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management company focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering costs for aging populations in the community. The Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, and treats patients and develops individualized treatment plans to help them reach their maximum level of independence and function. The role also supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab technicians in direct patient care and patient-related activities, consistent with the state practice act. This is a part-time position at Pivot at Sundance Inn Health Center in New Braunfels, Texas.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
Hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
Have good communication skills and the ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
Be capable of performing the responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function.
Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation technicians in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
