About The Position

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an outpatient Occupational Therapist to help people of all ages participate in activities and occupations important to them. The role routinely serves individuals with physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges that affect their ability to perform everyday tasks. This position involves patient care and is based onsite at 1575 Cambridge Street, with a day shift and 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Occupational Therapist state license.
1–2 years of occupational therapist experience.
Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent time management skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience in a residential or assisted living setting or skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical, mental, and developmental abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting them as needed.
Educate patients and families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can do at home.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay current with techniques and best practices.
