About The Position

Pivot Rehabilitation is a therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management company focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering costs for aging populations. The Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, and treats patients; develops treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum level of independence and function; and communicates with patients, families, and the care team. The position is part-time at Pivot at Sorrento in San Antonio, Texas.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
Good communication skills and the ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function.
Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation technicians in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
