About The Position

The Occupational Therapist develops specialized treatment plans to help patients regain well-being and function through exercise and/or the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. The therapist contributes to patient recovery, communicates progress or problems to the supervisor and other team members, and instructs patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs. The role documents patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements, and maintains equipment and the work area in a safe and clean condition. The position is based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, the flagship tertiary-care regional referral hospital of Conemaugh Health System. The employee must follow the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable professional standards, and state and federal laws, and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop specialized treatment plans to help patients regain well-being through exercise and/or prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Support patients’ recovery.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to the supervisor and other team members.
• Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and the work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
