About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist at its Cook Willow facility in Plymouth, Connecticut. The role is in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), serving a diverse caseload and supporting meaningful patient progress. The position offers a flexible PRN schedule, clinical support, mentorship, and professional development in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Compensation is $60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. HealthPro Heritage describes itself as a therapist-led organization providing clinical services across nursing facilities, retirement communities, hospitals, home care, and pediatric schools and clinics.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and improve their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and families about improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support their access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
