About The Position
We are hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Birch Manor. In this full-time role, you'll provide individualized occupational therapy focused on helping residents improve safety, daily function, and overall independence.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide skilled interventions addressing ADLs, strength, coordination, balance, and functional performance
- Establish meaningful therapy goals and monitor resident progress
- Recommend adaptive equipment and techniques to support safe daily activities
- Modify plans of care based on resident needs and response to treatment
- Educate residents and caregivers on strategies that support independence
- Complete required clinical documentation
- Collaborate with COTAs, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
