About The Position
Team Rehab is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist with CHT designation for its outpatient therapy clinics. The therapist provides patient-focused care, evaluates and treats patients, develops and updates plans of care, and documents treatment accurately and promptly. The role also includes supporting clinic protocols and research, continuing professional development, and contributing to an inclusive workplace. Team Rehab is a therapist-owned network of outpatient clinics in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Georgia.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new patients, develop plans of care, and set measurable functional goals.
- Treat patients, respond to their concerns, and educate them about their injuries, progress, and probable outcomes.
- Supervise aides providing modalities for non-Medicare and non-BCBSM patients, and oversee their general setup and cleanup duties.
- Re-evaluate patient progress, revise plans of care, and reset goals.
- Determine when patients should be discharged.
- Complete timely and accurate evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge documentation, and daily progress notes, using electronic medical record systems.
- Follow Medicare, BCBSM, and other insurance billing regulations to ensure billing reflects the treatment provided.
- Complete documentation within company timelines, generally within 72 hours of treatment.
- Achieve a reasonable level of productivity; for a normal outpatient orthopedic population, the stated expectation for a full-time therapist is 55 to 60 treatments plus evaluations per week.
- Help develop protocols for common diagnoses treated by the clinic.
- Participate in clinic-supported research studies.
- Continue developing professional skills by attending company continuing education events and using the continuing education allowance for approved courses.
