About The Position

Team Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist with Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credentials for PRN work in its outpatient therapy clinics. The organization provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy and focuses on patient satisfaction and measurable health outcomes. The therapist’s primary responsibility is to provide excellent patient care, support positive outcomes, and help patients have a good therapy experience. The role involves evaluating patients, creating and updating plans of care, treating and educating patients, monitoring progress, and determining when to discharge them. It also includes timely and accurate documentation, appropriate use of electronic medical records, compliance with insurance billing rules, and contributing to clinic protocols and research. Therapists are expected to continue developing their skills through company education events and approved courses, and to support the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Valid Occupational Therapist license.

Responsibilities

Evaluate new patients, develop plans of care, and set measurable functional goals.
Treat patients, answer their concerns, and educate them about their injuries, progress, and probable outcomes.
Supervise aides providing modalities for non-Medicare and non-BCBSM patients, as well as their general setup and cleanup duties.
Re-evaluate patient progress, revise plans of care, and reset goals.
Determine when to discharge patients.
Complete timely and accurate evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge documentation, and daily progress notes.
Use electronic medical record systems and follow Medicare, BCBSM, and other insurance billing regulations so billing reflects the treatment provided.
Complete documentation within company timelines, generally within 72 hours of treatment.
Achieve a reasonable level of productivity; for a full-time therapist with a typical outpatient orthopedic caseload, the stated expectation is 55 to 60 treatments plus evaluations per week.
Help develop protocols for common diagnoses treated by the clinic.
Participate in clinic-supported research studies.
Develop professional skills by attending company continuing education events and using the continuing education allowance for approved courses.
