About The Position
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Scotch Plains. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an OT who enjoys helping residents improve daily function, safety, and independence through individualized therapy.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Occupational Therapist license required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care
- Provide skilled treatment focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, balance, and functional performance
- Establish meaningful goals and monitor resident progress
- Recommend adaptive equipment and techniques to improve safety and independence
- Modify treatment plans based on resident needs and response to therapy
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with COTAs, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals
