The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team at Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) in Middletown, CT. This is a full-time position within the Patient Central Services unit, requiring 37.5 hours per week. The role involves providing individual and group occupational therapy services to help clients build and maintain skills for daily life and recovery. Responsibilities include instruction in activities of daily living, independent living skills, sensorimotor skills, psychosocial skills, therapeutic adaptations, and specialized assessments. The Occupational Therapist will assess clients, develop and implement treatment plans consistent with physician prescriptions, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support recovery goals.
