About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist for Friendship Village, a senior living community in Kalamazoo, Michigan, offering assisted living, independent living, memory care, and skilled nursing. The role involves assessing clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; developing and delivering individualized treatment; educating clients and families; maintaining documentation; and advocating for client needs. The position offers a flexible schedule, with weekend availability preferred, particularly Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. The stated pay range is $45–$50, with consideration for higher rates based on experience. Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Michigan state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligibility.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
