About The Position

Sprenger Therapy is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide in-house rehabilitation services at Heather Knoll in Tallmadge, Ohio. Sprenger Therapy is a clinician-led, family-owned therapy organization, rather than a contract therapy company. Its model emphasizes patient-centered care, protected therapy time, respected clinical judgment, mentorship, and decisions guided by residents’ needs and outcomes. New graduates are welcome, with mentorship available from day one.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for OTR.
• Current occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
• Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care.
• Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide occupational therapy services focused on restoring function, independence, and quality of life.
• Conduct screenings and identify residents who may benefit from intervention.
• Supervise and collaborate with COTA staff, as applicable.
• Initiate referrals when appropriate and in accordance with department procedures.
• Document clearly and efficiently to support quality outcomes.
