Occupational Therapist - Allentown, PA
About The Position
FOX Rehabilitation is hiring licensed Occupational Therapists to provide one-on-one care to older adults in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and surrounding communities. Care is delivered in patients’ private residences and senior living settings, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Using FOX’s Geriatric House Calls™ model, clinicians help patients improve mobility, independence, wellness, and quality of life. Telehealth and other virtual care may also be incorporated when appropriate. The role offers autonomy to create and manage a treatment schedule, build lasting patient relationships, and work in a clinician-operated, interdisciplinary practice. FOX offers full-time, part-time, and PRN/FOX Flex pathways. Full-time roles are salaried with benefits; part-time benefits eligibility depends on a minimum-hours requirement; PRN/FOX Flex roles are compensated per unit. New graduates may be eligible for FOX’s Emerging Professionals Mentor Program. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and employment type. Requirements
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or be eligible to obtain one.
- Have a degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Have basic computer and EMR proficiency.
- Hold current CPR certification.
- Be able to meet the stated physical demands of in-home and community-based care, including lifting 25–50 lbs occasionally, 10–25 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one occupational therapy to older adults in private residences and senior living communities.
- Perform evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver evidence-based treatment.
- Provide therapy that supports patient wellness, longevity, mobility, and functional independence.
- Document care in FOX’s EMR system in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and Fitness Specialists.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and senior living staff to promote safety, function, and aging in place.
- Provide telehealth or virtual care when appropriate.
- Drive to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls™ model.
- Meet the physical demands of patient care, including CPR, patient transfers and bed mobility, repositioning, standing and walking, stair climbing, and therapeutic activities.
- Wear PPE when required.
