About The Position

Functions independently and consistently in the delivery of quality care to occupational therapy patients in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, department policies and procedures, and standards of practice. Evaluates patients, plans and implements treatment programs, and accurately documents all treatment. Works with other members of the health care team to ensure patient needs are met. Educates patients and families and provides care to patients of varying ages, addressing age-related needs.

Requirements

• Two years of related work experience.
• Current Texas license or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent education if trained outside the United States.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving ability to determine the best methods to address patient problems.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
