About The Position

Genesis Healthcare System is seeking an Inpatient Acute Occupational Therapist in Zanesville, OH. This is a 13-week assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center with a 260-bed capacity, serving semi-complex patients with multiple orthopedic and internal injuries. The primary patient age group is Adult/Geriatric and young adult. Familiarity with Orthopedics/Joint Replacement post-operative surgery patients is preferred. Other diagnoses include Neurosurgical, Neurological, Cardiovascular including CABG patients, general surgery, and medically complex/intubated patients in Critical Care.

Requirements

• Ohio license and registry required (cannot be in process).
• BLS required.
• At least 1 year of Acute Care experience required within the past 5 years.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Orthopedics/Joint Replacement post-operative surgery patients preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to adult/geriatric and young adult patients.
• Treat patients with various diagnoses including orthopedic and internal injuries, neurosurgical, neurological, cardiovascular, general surgery, and medically complex/intubated patients.
• Focus on post-operative orthopedic/joint replacement surgery patients.
• Work in an Acute Inpatient setting.
