About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for their outpatient clinic in Onion Creek, TX. This full-time position involves treating conservative and post-operative conditions in a dynamic clinic setting. The role requires evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and ensuring functional programs for return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certified Hand Therapist certification.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment.
• 1-2 years of experience in hand/splinting required if not a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Treat conservative and post-operative conditions in a dynamic clinic setting.
• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serve as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
• Perform other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery design.
