About The Position
Momentum Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, collaborative Occupational Therapist (OT) / Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join its growing team in San Antonio, Texas. The role is based in a supportive outpatient environment and focuses on treating patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and other upper-extremity conditions. Certified Hand Therapists and occupational therapists working toward CHT certification are welcome to develop their clinical skills and advance their careers.
Requirements
- Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
- Commitment to continued learning, professional development, and teamwork.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification, or actively working toward certification.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in hand therapy, upper-extremity rehabilitation, or outpatient orthopedics.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper-extremity conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, splinting, and functional rehabilitation.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies to support long-term recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and patient-centered clinic environment.
