About The Position

The purpose of this position is to have an individual who can assess students in terms of their fine motor skills. The essential functions or duties listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Licensure from Massachusetts as an Occupational Therapist
Demonstrated competence, highly qualified, in the area of licensure
Currency in diagnostic and prescriptive evaluation instruments and techniques
Effective planning of caseload and testing of students in a timely manner
Effective presentation of findings orally and in writing
Promotion of high standards and expectations for student proficiency
Promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity
Effective integration of technology
Knowledge of special education paperwork and procedures.
Fulfillment of professional responsibilities
Ability to evaluate students of all ages
Ability to prescribe services and programs to meet student needs
Ability to administer required student testing and assessments
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues and administrators
Effective testing management skills
Excellent listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Skills in the specific tasks entailed in evaluating students and developing goals and objectives to meet their needs
