About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join their outpatient team at Onion Creek, TX. This full-time position involves treating conservative and post-operative conditions in a dynamic clinic setting. The role requires evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and delegating therapy services. The therapist will also be responsible for designing functional treatment programs for patient return to community activities and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Certified Hand Therapist certification required
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
• Experience in hand/splinting for 1-2 years required if not a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Treat conservative and post-operative conditions in a dynamic clinic setting.
• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
