PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant - Acute Care
About The Position
PT Solutions is hiring an Acute Care Occupational Therapist Assistant in Kirksville, Missouri, to provide rehabilitation therapy services in collaboration with Northeast Regional Medical Center, a 93-bed hospital with a level III trauma center and a broad range of medical and surgical services. The role supports patients in achieving their functional goals and works with clinicians and other hospital team members to provide care. This is a PRN position requiring two weekend day shifts per month, one major holiday, and one minor holiday. The posted pay range is $35.00–$40.00 per hour. Requirements
- Graduate of an ACOTE-approved occupational therapy assistant program.
- Current or pending state licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment for treatment and assist an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients.
- Build strong relationships with patients to support them in exceeding their functional goals.
- Maintain positive connections with patients, patient families, fellow clinicians, and other hospital team members.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital, including with physicians, case management, and nurses.
