About The Position
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our onsite team full-time. The OTA will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans, assist with patient care, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services. Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current and valid Florida OTA license.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in following treatment plans and providing feedback to supervising therapists.
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of experience in an orthopedic or outpatient physical therapy setting
- Hand Experience
Responsibilities
- Follow treatment plans designed by licensed Occupational Therapists to provide therapy services that improve patients' physical function and mobility.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and modalities to promote recovery and achieve therapy goals.
- Monitor and document patient progress, providing feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and techniques for continued care at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment, adhering to clinic protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy techniques and best practices.
