About The Position

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an outpatient neurorehabilitation clinic. The role provides one-to-one, 60-minute treatment sessions to adults recovering from neurological injuries, supporting their independence and quality of life. The COTA delivers hands-on care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist and works with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive outpatient setting using technology and therapeutic equipment. The position is Monday through Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in the state of application.
Current CPR certification.
Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience, preferably related to treating complex neurological injuries.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), functional activities, and the application and use of assistive devices according to the Occupational Therapist’s treatment plan.
Assist the Occupational Therapist in collecting outcome measures and completing complex treatment procedures.
Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation of care provided.
Maintain working knowledge of and adhere to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
