The Occupancy Specialist will create and maintain a customer-centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, family members, and fellow community associates. This role involves maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service to residents, owners/investors, and other associates. The specialist will train community-level associates, process and evaluate resident compliance files, and work with the Marketing Department to drive occupancy. A thorough knowledge of company policies is essential, along with regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. The ability to resolve resident complaints timely and support the community team to ensure resident files comply with all SHFA, governmental, lender, and investment commitments is crucial. This role requires travel within the region as an 'Road Warrior', conducting new hire on-site and follow-up training, attending HUD, RD, and LIHTC Audits, and working with new lease-up properties. The specialist must execute the core values of the company and build relationships while providing support to field teams.
