About The Position

A lovely family located near Old Hwy 56 and Frisco Lake is seeking an occasional babysitter for their energetic 3-year-old, with an immediate start. Care is needed intermittently when the child’s daycare is closed or when the child is home sick. Typical weekday hours fall Monday-Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The family would also appreciate support on occasional Saturdays within a similar time frame (10:30 AM up to as late as 10:00 PM, typically for about 4 hours), though availability for this is not required. Advance notice will generally be 24 hours for sick care and 1–2 weeks for scheduled daycare closures or weekend needs. There is a medium-to-large dog and a cat in the home; no pet care is required. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family’s needs, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The ideal candidate will be engaging, energetic, and patient. Start date: Immediate Length of Position: Ongoing Schedule: Intermittent care (no guaranteed hours) Typical needs: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:00 PM Additional times: Occasional Saturdays, 10:30 AM–10:00 PM (typically ~4 hour shifts) Compensation: $20–$25 per hour Upcoming dates of care needed: Sunday, July 12th, 4pm-midnight

Requirements

• 1-2 years of paid, professional childcare experience preferred
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to provide 2 professional references
• Able to successfully pass a background and social media screening
• Valid driver’s license (family vehicle and car seat provided)
• Comfortable with dogs and cats

Responsibilities

• Potty training assistance
• Engaging and entertaining the child
• Facilitating nap times
• Preparing simple meals and snacks (e.g., sandwiches, snacks)
• Driving the child to local parks
